This is a subjective question and there is a different perspective from the creator to the observer. If the creator of an artwork moves just one person, no matter what type of art it is, then it is art.
Many people see Artificially Generated Art as ‘cheating’ but it is far from it, many AI artists spend a lot of time tweaking and refining their works before publishing and certainly every single one puts their heart and soul into what they do.
But – it IS true that AI Generated Art is faster than many traditional methods and I understand the fear amongst the many great traditional artists that there is a new wave of people about to eat their lunch in a terryfing technical world that a watercolour painter never wanted to get involved in. As a software developer by trade I believe that there is a place for both.
